2026-2027 Season
Tryout Registration Now Open
At CorePVA, we believe in the power of maximized potential, teamwork, and rising above obstacles to achieve the results desired. Our mission is not only to excel on the court but also to build lasting friendships, memories and character that extends beyond the game. Come train and compete with CorePVA.
What to Expect
Depending on your daughter’s age group, most tryouts will follow a similar format (with a few small variations). Our goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where every athlete has multiple opportunities to show what they can do.
We’ll start with a brief off-court evaluation, including measurements like height, reach, and agility, along with a light warm-up to get everyone comfortable. From there, players will move through general skills and then into positional work. Athletes are welcome to be evaluated at up to two positions if they’d like.
The final portion of the tryout will be scrimmages, giving players a chance to compete, have fun, and showcase their skills in a game setting.
At the end of the tryout, we’ll share team placements with each player. We do ask families to be prepared to make a decision that day (with the exception of our 12 & Under group), and we’re happy to answer any questions along the way so you feel confident in that choice.
Once your daughter accepts a spot and completes the registration process, her place on the team is secured for the 2026–2027 season. We’re excited to invest in her growth and development, and we take that commitment seriously.

Overview
Club volleyball provides aspiring athletes with a competitive and structured environment to develop their skills beyond school or recreational leagues. Participating in club volleyball requires a significant time and financial commitment from both players and their families. While we make every effort to be fair in our tryout process, assessments are inherently subjective; coaches, both within and across clubs, may have varying opinions regarding the potential of individual athletes. At Core Performance Volleyball Academy, our coaches recognize this reality and typically consult with peers when finalizing roster selections. While volleyball expertise and skill proficiency are primary considerations for team placement, additional factors such as athleticism, potential, and player intangibles will affect placement.
